The First Thanksgiving

This year Mark and I are having Thanksgiving at our house for the first time and we want everything to be perfect but in very different ways.

I can see it now.....  While I am trying to make the prefect center pieces for the table, creating everyone's favorite dishes while trying to cook my first turkey, making sure the house is all unpacked from the move and super clean for our first dinner guests, putting out all of the fall decorations and so on.  Mark will be making sure that I don't ruin the cream spinach, peeling apples to help make homemade apple pies and probably buying the new latest, greatest and largest tv on the market for the optimal thanksgiving day football experience.

Table scapes I wish I could make but won't so lets all pretend this is how Thanksgiving is in real life instead of in the glossy magazines

My New Driving Instructor

Since Mark is constantly criticizing my parking ability, especially the fact that I like lots of space so I tend to take up two spots, I have decided to take driving lessons from this little guy. He has some serious driving skills.

Sugar and Spice and Everything nice...

That's what little girls are made of!

Sunshine and rainbows
and ribbons for hair bows
that's what little girls are made of!

Tea parties, laces
and baby doll faces
that's what little girls are made of!

Last Saturday we had the sweetest little baby shower for Brooke and her little girl, Camile, who will be arriving very, very soon. I had the best time planning all the details with Kelly, Sarah and Bri and I am excited to say we managed to pull it off without out a hitch. Also, thank you to Mrs. Conner for allowing us to use your beautiful home to host the baby shower.

Seeing is Believing

A few weeks ago I was driving to the gym and noticed something flying high in the sky. I tried to describe it over the phone to Mark but he had no idea what I was talking about. Turns out "fighter jet that looks like a big black kite" is not a good description to give your husband. So my next attempt to explain it to him was by drawing it out on the back of a receipt. Now that totally got his attention. He quickly asked "Are you serious? Did you really see this or were watching Discovery Channel?".

Oh Mark of little faith, I now know after the numerous times you have told me that the B2 Stealth Bomber doesn't land or fly around Wichita, this is definitely the plane that I saw. So I guess seeing is believing and Mark will probably always think I dreamed this up until he sees it with his own eyes.

(I think he is just jealous that I saw it and he did not. I don't normally get excited about planes but this was something to see for sure.)
