Guns N Roses - Dream Fulfilled

Many of us have dreams as children, some dreams are forgotten and others we spend our whole lives determined to achieve. One dream Mark was determined to achieve was to see Guns N Roses play live in concert. To you this might not seem like a difficult dream to accomplish but after numerous failed attempts to chase Axel Rose around the country and a long hiatus away from the music industry spot light, it took longer than expected. And I must say it was well worth the wait.

You might recall details from an earlier post from November, Pack your Bags and your Parka we are going to Canada, that Mark had never given and we were off again full of hope to see Guns N Roses live in concert but this time in Canada.

We were able to make a big trip of it and flew into Buffalo, NY to start our adventure and made a quick stop at Niagara Falls before heading into Toronto for a nice visit with Mark’s family.

Then it was off to Hamilton, Ontario to COPPS Coliseum for a concert of a lifetime. I was not sure what to expect at first but I will admit that my expectations were of a middle age man running around on stage out of breath, reliving his glory days, was I ever surprised. The concert was amazing! Axel put on an outstanding performance that blew us all away far exceeding any expectations Mark ever had. Unfortunately they were very strict about cameras so I don’t have any pictures of Mark and I at the concert however someone else was able to sneak in an HD camera and post some video highlights on youtube for us to enjoy. The video starts off with the opening act then goes into Guns N Roses. It does not do the concert justice but gives you a little glimpse of what we enjoyed. (Good thing we had much better seats.)

We have some serious catching up to do!

With only 136 days until Baby Eaton's estimated arrival I thought now would be a good time to sit down and catch up on all of my very overdue blogging. So I apologize if some go back a few months of maybe even a few years. I will try to keep them short and sweet but those of you who know me well know I tell the worst stories that tend to go on and on and on and only end when I forget what I was talking about originally.
So now is my last chance to catch you up on the exciting (and sometimes not so exciting) lives of Mark and Rachel before we were plus one.
