March for Babies 2011 | Seattle, WA

This year one of the big things we wanted to do as a family was to participate in a March of Dimes walk to celebrate the life of our precious Jacquelyn.  April 30th was a great day as we participated in the Seattle March for Babies.  Thanks to your support and generosity Team Eaton exceeded our goal raising $1,130 to have save other babies like ours.  No one is working harder than the March of Dimes to understand the causes of prematurity or to find prevention and treatments.  All the money we raised will be used to support the March of Dimes programs of research, advocacy and community service.

Thank you again for your generous contributions to this wonderful cause.

Jacquelyn up early and ready for our 3.1 mile march through downtown Seattle

Jacquelyn standing next to her sign on Baby Blvd. Signs lined this walk way to remind walkers why there were there that day.

To celebrate the day we thought it would be a great idea to take Jacquelyn to the zoo.  Someone fell asleep while we waited in a long line to get in.  Here she is enjoying the flamingos.

J woke up in time to see some elephants up close.  We plan on taking her back this summer so she can feed the giraffes.

A Royal Affair

On April 29th, as the world tuned into the Royal Wedding, Jacquelyn participated in Princess Day at school to celebrate the special occasion.  Here she is all dolled up in her princess attire, crown and all.  She was the prettiest princess in the world that day. (Sorry if I am a little biased, I am her Mom)

Easter Sunday

This is one of the only pictures we have of Jacquelyn all dressed up on Easter Sunday.  J had other plans for her dress and made a huge mess however, she was a little angel during church and quietly sat listening to that morning's message.  After church we enjoyed a nice Easter brunch at Fat Burger, the great thing was there was no line.

My Little Fashionista

Jacquelyn felt like dressing this outfit up a little so she did some accessorizing of her own (well maybe with a little help from her Uncle Bryan).

Super Sittee!

I love this picture of Jacquelyn and her Super Sittee.  One of my favorite things about my Grandmother going to live with my parents is that every time we are in Texas Jacquelyn and I get to spend extra time with her.  We love you Sittee (Super Sittee) and can't wait to see you in July.

Tulip Festival

Living in Snohomish County we have learned that 90% of the Tulips in the United States are grown here in Northern Washington. So when we heard about the Tulip Festival we had to go and check it out.  The fields of flowers were truly beautiful.  I have never seen anything like it and I apologize because the pictures do not do it justice.

Easter was the following day so I thought it would be fun to bring the bunny ears with us.

We found Texas Tulips in WA. Just had to share.

Jacquelyn enjoying the beautiful flowers, just like she does most sites.

Jacquelyn's Baptism

At the beginning of April, Jacquelyn was Baptised at First Untied Methodist Church in Decatur, Texas.  The Minister performed a beautiful private cermony for our family.  Thank you to all of our family who attended and special thanks to Bryan and Mari for agreeing to be Jacquelyn's Godparents.

(Another invitation designed on tinyprints.com for this special event however
I never ordered or sent them.  Instead everyone got an evite and pizza.)

Love this picture.  I try to get a picture of the four of us everytime we are together.

J's first taste of cake and frosting.  She could not get enough.

Jacquelyn and her Great Aunt Cindy

After the Baptism we look Jacquelyn to her Grandmommy Jackie.
While we were there we decided to take some picture in the wildflowers (blue bonnets).  While good in theory we were bad with the execution and accidentally place Jacquelyn right in a patch of stickers.

Here she is recovered from the flower experience.
I hope she does not develop a fear of flowers because of this.

My Lucky Charm!

Jacquelyn wished everyone a Happy St Patrick's Day.
Sorry I am a few months late with the post, better late than never.

First Valentine's Day!

Here is Jacquelyn looking sassy on her first Valentine's Day.

Mark surprised Jacquelyn and I with a "sweet" present.

As a special treat Jacquelyn created her first master piece at school to mark this special occasion.

This is the card I planned to order from tinyprints.com and mail out to our friends and family to mark this special occasion and never did.  But know that I was thinking of all of you and did design one.
