"I don't feel good!"

This is Rachel's first moment after moving to Wichita, KS. Note the sheet-less bed, it's from my childhood. Score!

Milk does the country good!

This is the most patriotic milk truck I have even seen.

Practice Makes Perfect

While catching up on my shows I was a little slow with the DVR action and caught this commerical. I must say that it made me laugh a little and I am sure Mark can appreciate it because of my constant questions about menu, dishes and where everyone is going to sit. Enjoy and cross your fingers that I pull off the a perfect 1st Thanksgiving!

In case you missed it....

Sesame Street turned 40 this week!  In honor of this childhood educational and entertainment milestone Google has celebrated with various Doodles on their homepage.  I must say I have enjoyed these thoroughly each day and wanted to share in case you missed them.

Wednesday - Big Bird

Thursday - Cookie Monster

Friday - Bert & Ernie

With Mark's 30th Birthday right around the corner I have searched the internet high and low to find Google Doodles that would be most fitting for his big day.  At one point my over ambitious mind thought I could create my own Google Doodle for next Tuesday but that quickly fizzled out.

Birthday Pinata for his love of Mexican Food

This is as close to Tailgating I could find and in the 11 years Google has been around they do not have a Doodle for American Football

If you actually read to the bottom of this post I applaud your efforts.  I realize it is lame and not some of my better work but thanks for dedication to this blog.  Did I mention that the only people I think still reading at this point are Mom and Rebecca?  If I have been able to keep Mark’s attention this long Hell must have frozen over.

Pack your Bags and your Parka we are going to Canada

There are only a few things in Mark's life that rank higher than me...

1. Aggie Football
2. Guns N' Roses
(not necessarily in that order)

Mark, being a true fan, has never given up on his favorite band Guns N' Roses. You may remember an earlier post from November 2008 - The Moment Mark Has Been Waiting For..... Well once again that moment has arrived. A year after the release of their latest CD in 15 years, Chinese Democracy, they have announced their concert tour. I was out of town for work during this announcement but Mark in his excitement sent me this text message:

"ALERT ALERT ALERT!!! This is a Guns N' Roses news alert. Pack your bags we are going to Canada (Montreal or Toronto) for a concert!!!"

What the message failed to mention was that we are going to Canada in January. I am cold just thinking about it.

So now the concert tickets are bought, flight arrangements have been made and our trip is planned. After being stood up in both Dallas and San Diego by Axel this concert's motto is 3rd Time’s a Charm. So cross your fingers and send warm thoughts my way that Mark gets his wish and gets to see his idol live in concert.
